Near the Donkmeer you will discover Nieuwdonk: A vast park and recreation area (175 ha) with leisure opportunities for the whole family during every season. Lovers of sailing, surfing, kayaking and diving can enjoy themselves in and on the water sports pond. In the demarcated area, it is wonderful to swim in warm weather under the watchful eye of the lifeguards.

The playground for children up to 12 years old has various play, climbing and agility equipment. Since 2015 there is a new play tower combination. Those who prefer a game of football or romping around can go to the large playing field. Can it be even more challenging? In the surrounding woods, a survival course was created for daredevils and active athletes. Those who prefer to take it easy can sunbathe on the beach or go for a walk. In winter, you can extend your walk around the Donkmeer along the water sports pond via the entrance gate between Eendenkooi and the Nieuwdonk recreation area. The path is also suitable for wheelchair users. Near the beach with a view of the playground, tavern De Zonnevallei serves snacks and drinks.
