The Drop is an interactive installation that
consists of 165 buckets. The buckets are stacked
on top of each other, nine layers high, in the
shape of a pyramid. Only the top bucket
is filled with water. This art intervention
completely depends on the weather: as soon as it
starts to rain, the top bucket overflows and
a drop suddenly becomes a fountain. There is
no pump involved, this fountain flows
on rainwater. The work truly comes into its
own under a gentle, typical
Belgian shower.
