In Andenne, people literally beat around the bush. 'Le Pot' (the flower pot) at the roundabout of the rue du Pont is a work by the internationally renowned French artist Jean-Pierre Raynaud (1939). The sculpture was inaugurated in 2015. This contemporary artwork was donated to the city of Andenne by the internationally operating West Flemish steel company Joris Ide. Ide has a site in Andenne: Fonderies Lecomte (Seilles). It is no wonder that this 4-meter high work is made of corten steel. Does the image of the 'pot' refer to the ceramic past of the city? The fact is that the artist has already created several such 'pots' from different materials all over the world. Similar works are also exhibited in prestigious places such as the National Museum of Modern Art in Paris or the Piazza de Beaubourg.
