This giant bench was placed here in the summer of 2022. It measures 6 meters long and 2.5 meters high and is made of sustainable larch wood. From the top of the bench, you have a beautiful view over the vineyards but you can also see the Vlooybergtoren.
The Houwaartse Wine Bank was placed next to the oldest vineyards, and underneath it, large pieces of iron sandstone were laid that refer to the soil of the Houwaartse Mountain.
The entire project was budgeted at 17,000 euros. The province covered 60% of this, while the remaining 40% was funded by the proceeds from the Wine Run, KWB, and Scouts Houwaart on one side and Hageland wine estates on the other.
