Robert Beijer is a key figure in the Bende van Nijvel case: "The main suspect in the robbery of the arms dealer Dekaise in 1982 was, for example, part of Beijer's entourage. And during the period of the robbery at Delhaize in Aalst, Beijer went there to take pictures of the surroundings - quite a coincidence. That example also appears in the series '1985'. Beijer claims he did that as a detective in the context of a divorce case, which is a strange explanation. They have since investigated it, and there's nothing to it."
