This bronze work of art stands at the beginning of the Promenade des Ours in Andenne since 2021.
The bear "Les Saumons n° 1" is a monumental sculpture of one and a half meters high, two meters long and weighing 500 kilos , made of bronze. It depicts a bear looking for a fish.
It is the work of Michel Bassompierre . He has a preference for animals with round shapes (bears, gorillas, elephants, horses) that are surprised in their daily lives.
The bear is the mascot of the city of Andenne.
