The Château de Bellaire is located above the hill in the hamlet of Muache.
On the site of Bellaire Castle was the estate of the Tower of Muache , which held 18 prisoners. It was here that Bernard de Barsy, lord of Courrière, ended his days in 1752 after a stay in his fief Mont à Strud. His son Isidore-François-Bernard sold the estate in 1775. The castle known as "Bellaire" dates back to the 19th century . It is adorned with a mansion dating from 1765, the date it is named.
The 18th century outbuildings of the Château de Bellaire have been tastefully renovated as a gîte , preserving the original character of the place with the wooden framework and local stones. The gîte is set in 15 hectares of beautiful parkland where guests can enjoy the swimming pool and tennis court. The gîte has a terrace and a private garden with a view of the deer park. The swimming pool is accessible to the guests.
