The Ferme des Queuwys is a dairy farm with a herd of Holstein cows. Pascal Laudelout has been running the family farm since 1995. His wife Hélène has completed various cheese-making courses. She swapped her job as a math teacher to make butter and cheese. All products are made from raw milk, immediately after milking. Because the milk is still warm, the qualities are better preserved, and less electricity is needed in the cheese production. Since 2019, the cows have been on a grass-based diet. In the summer, they are in the pasture as much as possible. In the winter, they are housed in the barn and receive dried hay, which is stored in bulk, a system that is very popular in Austria and Normandy. In Belgium, there are only 5 farms that operate this way. Son Antoine (4th generation) also works on the farm meanwhile. In the beautiful shop, products from other local producers are also sold, such as yogurt, ice cream, and honey.
