Eupen is a German-speaking city and is the capital of the German-speaking Community. It consists of an upper and a lower town. The lower town is located by the Vesder. The Eupen station is in the upper town and is the terminus of an intercity connection with Ostend, via Brussels among others. In Eupen there are several monuments such as: the town hall in classical style, five churches (Monastery Church, St. Nicholas Church, St. Lambertus Chapel, ...). In the market square, there is a patrician house.
