This Meetjesland Café Route of 10 km starts at the cozy square in front of the church with the beautiful kiosk and lets you enjoy stunning views from the various dikes on which you walk: Blekkersdijk, Vrijedijk, and Oudemansdijk. Through field paths and quiet lanes, you walk back to the center of Watervliet where you can enjoy a well-deserved break. ’t Dorpshart at ’t Stee was formerly a bank that was thoroughly converted by Andie, the owner of the nearby frituur, into a cozy café – bistro – tearoom with a sunny terrace. In the summer, it gets even more fun when the wooden pallets and cushions are brought out to install an extra pop-up in the square.
