Beautiful walk in one direction the province of Hainaut with the Pottelberg forest, on the other hand, the province of East Flanders with the Brakel forest.
Some slopes in the Pottelberg forest are very undulating and steep. The Brakel forest also has elevation differences, but the slopes are slightly less steep. Due to the storms from last spring, there may be a small or larger detour here and there because trees block the path.
The Brakel forest, especially around the end of the walk, is very beautiful in April due to the bluebells and the small leaves on the trees. Fresh green, but still enough sunshine reaching the forest floor.
During the summer, the cool forests provide a wonderful alternative in higher temperatures. In autumn, the beech leaves offer a rich color palette.
Only after prolonged or heavy rainfall have some passages turned into a real mud pool.
