From the Shrine of Banneux ND, this walk goes past the soccer field and crosses the countryside of Sprimontois before entering the "forest of Fraipont". As we traverse this forest of spruces, chestnut trees, and other remarkable beeches, we discover in a clearing the "Castle of Banneux", an impressive building from 1912, in a traditional style that combines brick, blue stone, and sandstone. This castle, which came into public hands in 1972, now houses an institution for the protection of young people. After that, you continue with a long descent through the forest to reach the banks of the Vesdre, before climbing up through the forest of Tancrémont and the stream "Ruisseau du Fond des Trois Bois". Back to Banneux.
