Alternative Slings

This tour offers a number of alternative climbs instead of the well-known classic climbs like Kluisberg, Paterberg, and Kwaremont. We ascend the backside of Tiegemberg towards Avelgem up to Kluisbergen. There we take an unknown steep road towards Kluisberg. After that, we head towards Kwaremont to tackle the descent of Paterberg (the Stooktestraat). Then we ride a long climb towards Hotond. Next, we descend the main road towards Ronse. As a (partial) alternative to Karnemelkbeekstraat, we take the Cote de Russeignies. A beautiful, quiet, narrow road that brings us to the side of Karnemelkbeestraat. After that, we quickly descend towards the foot of Paterberg. We leave this on the right and a bit further on, we turn left to take the toll-free side of Kwaremont. Then we descend the new Kwaremont and cross the bridge over the Schelde, riding on small roads towards Tiegem. Here we opt for the classic side of Tiegemberg, but turn left into the woods to tackle a short steep hill. To finish, we ride up Holstraat in Anzegem and make one last "Nick" to the Old Distillery in Wortegem.
