Circular walk around the Polder of Lier, a controlled flood area (GOG) and a nice place for bird watching, located on the right bank of the Nete. On the other side, on the left bank of the Nete, is Anderstad, another top place for bird watching and also a controlled flood area (https://www.routeyou.com/nl-be/route/view/14001536/wandelroute/anderstad-lierse-vogels-spotten)
The NatuurStudiegroep Beneden-Dijle took its Tuesday morning walk here, and noted the birds: see waarnemingen.be under observer NSG Beneden-Dijle on date 23 January 2024.
Parking is available at the Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Church on the Mechelse Steenweg.
