AzureEvery season, birds settle in the Uitkerkse Polder behind Blankenberge. In this vast meadow landscape you can still see what the Coast used to look like. Via the still young Zeebos we leave the coastline to look for the hinterland. Soon, the flat church of Lissewege will be permanently opened as a watchtower. We have a beautiful view over the white village, the harbor and the polders. We touch Bruges at the Sint-Pietersplas to find our way up through the Meetkerkse Moeren, a low-lying nature reserve along the Bruges-Ostend Canal.
This cycle route is integrated as a suggestion loop on the cycle network map De Kust. There will no longer be a separate leaflet with a map of the cycle route, but the signposting will be retained.
