La Doyenne: the last spring classic of 2024. Liège-Bastogne-Liège takes place on April 21.

In this version of 2024, the Côte de La Roche-en-Ardenne is replaced by the Bonnerue. Furthermore, only the Côte de Mont-le-Sole disappears compared to last year. As for the route, most of the elevation gain comes after the turnaround in Bastogne. The Côte de Wanne (85 km from the finish) marks the beginning of the finale with consecutive climbs. After the Wanne, the Côte de Stockeu, Haute-Levée, and the Col du Rosier follow (longest ascent: 4.4 km). Then it’s time for the iconic La Redoute, where action is almost always guaranteed. We climb there for ‘only’ 1.6 km, but it is tough with an average gradient of 9.4%.

After La Redoute, the riders can catch their breath during the descent towards Cornémont, but they won’t be able to rest on their laurels for long. The Côte des forges (1.3 km at 7.8%) follows, and on that slope, it will be a struggle. After a somewhat longer descent, it's time to pedal once more: Roche-aux-Faucons (13 km from the finish) is a brutal climb (1.3 km at 11%) with a sharp descent. In the last 5 kilometers, the riders descend to Liège for a flat finish.
