Vespa Club Tessenderlo

Club ride: Vaals 240Km - September 15, 2024 - departure 9 AM.

Trip to the Drielandenpunt Vaals led by ride master Rony

With a group of 31 Vespas, we set out again on a journey of 240 kilometers, fully ready to enjoy. Ride master Rony had carefully planned a few stops to stretch our legs, grab a drink, and even offered the opportunity to eat Dutch or Belgian fries at the famous Drielandenpunt of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany.

We departed from Heusden-Zolder and rode through Zolder, Zonhoven, and Genk, where we took our first break at Brasserie 360. A beautiful location with friendly staff and quick service. After this refreshing stop, we continued our ride towards Munsterbilzen, Mopetingen, Herderen, and Mesch, where we settled at Laethof. Here we enjoyed a drink on the cozy outdoor terrace, located in a courtyard with parking right in front.

The journey continued over beautiful, winding Dutch roads that were in perfect condition, until we finally reached the Drielandenpunt. Here we enjoyed a delicious fry, accompanied by the music of a modern orchestra playing hip tunes, which made the atmosphere even more special.

After this stop, we rode back into Belgium and began a winding descent towards Neufchâteau, Dalhem, and Richelle. We crossed both the Meuse and the Albert Canal and continued our way through picturesque villages until we arrived in Broekom. Here we took the exit to Borgloon but avoided the center to head towards Berlingen, where we passed the beautiful Castle of Rullingen. Via Stevoort, Lummen, and Deurne, we ended our journey back at the clubhouse in Tessenderlo.

In total, we made five short breaks to enjoy the local hospitality. It was a fantastic ride full of fun, beautiful landscapes, and delightful stops!

The route is a real classic and certainly known by every motorist.
