Departing from Veurnestraat (side street of Franslaan) in Nieuwpoort-Bad, you walk through the Villa district towards the bike path between the residential area behind it. Then you pass the children's farm to walk a piece of unpaved path behind the tennis club and the swimming pool. At the end of the Oude Veurnevaart, you cross the Veurne-Nieuwpoort Canal to walk around the Koolhofput. Heading back towards the Canal, you walk along a piece of Frontzate. A gravel road that connects Nieuwpoort with Diksmuide. During World War I, this was a train track. Then you walk towards the Fish Market in Nieuwpoort-Stad. Under the long bridge to follow the Ijzer River to the North Sea. Along Jan Fabre's Schildpad back towards Franslaan where the route ends.
