Along pilgrim paths and princess roads from the Spa Thermal Baths to Lac du Warfaaz

This walk takes in a section of the quiet forest above Spa. We descend to the Lac de Warfaaz where we can make a stop at Le Jardin des Elfes. Those who spend enough time at the sights and at the lake can make a nice day trip (with the kids) of it.

Start at the large parking in Spaloumont near the Thermen above Spa. It is also possible to go up from the station with the lift .

We soon arrive at the Reickemroute that the pilgrims passed on their way to Banneux or Santiago de Compostela. Witness the "Source de la Pélerine-voie" whose water flows into a scallop shell . A little further on there is the Fontaine du Broxou.

We descend to the Reserve naturelle du Chawion to arrive at the Av. Princesse Clémentine where there are a few picnic tables . We arrive at Balmoral where the spa hotels flourish.

We now descend to the Lac de Warfaaz . Le Jardin des Elfes is a beautiful brasserie with a nice terrace and playground, which is open daily.

A steep but short climb brings us to the Promenade Henri Peltzer. We walk on a height and look over the valley of the city of Spa with some beautiful viewpoints.

Pavilion Hesse is a bit of a lost glory. From here we climb further to the starting point, where the statue of Mary " The Immaculate Conception " screams her innocence.
