The little river Voer leads you from the center of Vossem to the Park of Tervuren, along the narrow Voerwegje. The majestic Park of Tervuren takes you past the Africa Museum to the visitor center De Warandepoort for a short stop. You dive back into the park where you discover the remains of the palace of the Dukes of Brabant at St. Hubertus Chapel. After leaving Tervuren park, you follow the cobblestones and brick park wall of the Waalsebaan, a very old road that connected Namur to Mechelen. Soon you are walking through a vast landscape of fields, with vistas that reach for miles all the way back to Vossem.
Those who wish can also shorten the walk to 5.5 km. At hiking node 43 you leave the Voer and from there follow node 44 and on.
