🌲 Walk through the Most-Keiheuvel: a harmony of water, sand, and silence

This circular walk of 10.7 km takes you through the unique nature reserve De Most-Keiheuvel in Balen, where wet valleys and dry land dunes meet in a surprising interplay. You start near Licht Vliegwezenlaan, where the silence is already palpable.

Along the way, you will pass:

🧭 De Most – A marshy area that lives up to its name. Until 1810, this was a municipal domain, now an oasis of peace and wet nature.

🏞️ De Keiheuvel – A higher dune landscape, dry and open, ideal for walkers who appreciate space and light.

✈️ Bench at the airport – A resting point with a view of the glider airfield of Balen Keiheuvel. Here you can sometimes see a tow plane take off.

🧒 Keimannetjes walk – A playful exploration for young adventurers from 4 years old, right in the nature of the Keiheuvel.

🐝 Sandy bee and landscape frame – An invitation to pause and consciously experience the landscape. The frame invites looking with attention.

🎠 Recreation park Keiheuvel – A green playground in the heart of the Kempen, where nature and recreation go hand in hand.
