Heritage walk offered by Erfgoed Vlaanderen (more info: www.toekomstvooronsverleden.be) and published in the book 'Steengoed! 40 surprising heritage walks through Flanders'.

As Oranjestad, Diest was in the line of fire during the revolt against the Spaniards. That Orange past remains visible in monuments such as a water mill and a piece of the residence of the glorious Oranje-Nassau family. The walker can therefore recall with some imagination in Diest today the Joyful Entry of Philip William, the eldest son of William the Silent.
