From Hof den Tuitelaar in Meldert, we depart for a beautiful nature walk through two gems of the Faluintjes region: the open Faluintjes and the mysterious Kravaalbos. Soon we leave the village behind and walk through wet grasslands, meadows, and quiet marshes where water and nature shape the landscape. The Faluintjes are known for their great biodiversity and are an important habitat for meadow birds and typical plants of wet soils.
Further, we enter the Kravaalbos, an ancient forest with stately beech trees, oaks, and winding forest paths. This forest was once known for its sand and clay extraction and today exudes peace and history. Expect a beautiful mix of shady forest paths and open spaces.
As the paths in these water-rich areas can sometimes be muddy, waterproof hiking shoes are certainly recommended. A varied and captivating walk where nature, heritage, and silence go hand in hand. 🌿🥾
