The Hallerbos is especially popular in April when the bluebells bloom. But a bit earlier and at the same time, the Easter flowers and the wood anemones are also in full splendor. This hike connects the bustling Hallerbos (on weekends) with the equally beautiful Bois du Bailli and the Lembeek Forest across the language border. All these forests are part of the old Kolenwoud - the Gallic primeval forest - which also includes the Sonian Forest. The route mainly follows unpaved forest paths and meadow trails. Along the way, you'll pass about three cafés or taverns ('t Kriekske, Il Sorrento, and Les Meurisses). Nearby, in Braine-le-Château, there are also cozy drinking and dining options.
