The Fiertelommegang is a centuries-old religious tradition in Ronse, during which the shrines containing the relics of Saint Hermes are carried annually on the first Sunday after Pentecost (Trinity Sunday) over a distance of 32.6 km around the city limits. This procession symbolizes protection from mental illnesses and attracts thousands of participants and spectators each year.

The day begins with a solemn mass. The shrine is carried by four bearers, accompanied by a bellman who sets the rhythm. The route goes through the hills of the Flemish Ardennes and concludes with a historical procession in the city center, depicting the life of Saint Hermes and the history of Ronse. Since 2009, the Fiertelommegang has been recognized as a Flemish intangible cultural heritage, and efforts are being made to achieve UNESCO World Heritage status.
