Meeting point at the Topsporthal, where you can choose between a lap around the water sports track or in the Blaarmeersen. Or you can of course do both.
This route is particularly popular among students and other runners due to its proximity to the Topsporthal Vlaanderen and the Blaarmeersen, where you can switch to a slightly longer distance of 5.6 km. The terrain is mostly unpaved, which is 'milder' on your body than paved paths. The running route around the water sports track is 5 km long and marked with blue arrows; the loop around the Blaarmeersen is 5.6 km long and marked with green arrows. Both running paths are nearly completely traffic-free.
