Heritage walk offered by Erfgoed Vlaanderen (more info: www.toekomstvooronsverleden.be) and published in the member magazine 'Erfwoord'.
Heusden-Zolder is known for its protected mining sites and the car circuit. This time, however, we opt for completely different sights, such as the intimacy of the Hermitage, the tough past of the lordship of Vogelsanck and the traces of a Limburg governor from the 19th century. The extremely rich vegetation and the bird and animal population in valuable cultural landscapes with forests, heathland, lakes and fens are also part of the fascinating walk. Preferably put on walking shoes, because we are going out for a trip of 10km. The walk starts and ends at the Sint-Jobkerk in Bolderberg.
