Our Lady's Path Part 4. Postel Abbey > St. Anthony's Chapel Mol

This is the 4th day of the Our Lady's Path. The complete route runs from the H. Eik in Oirschot (NL) to the basilica in Scherpenheuvel (B)

Today you begin by walking through the forests of nature reserve "de grote put." The route lets you see the Schoten - Turnhout - Dessel canal for a moment. At the bike and pedestrian bridge, you can choose to cross it and continue along the canal until past the observation tower of the lock. This shortens the route by 2.4 km but makes it more monotonous. If you continue along the route, you'll walk through the forests to the Bochholt - Herentals canal. Once you cross this canal, you'll enter the Provincial Domain Zilvermeer. You'll walk along the shore of the lake and the marina to the bridge over the Dessel - Kwaadmechelen canal. From there, you'll go through Sluis (Mol) via a small Maria chapel to the St. Antonius chapel. This choice was made because the earlier chapel is less significant, and look: in the chapel of Toon, Maria is also present.
