A contrasting journey in beautiful nature, from the highest point of Belgium.
On the menu; the High Fens in all its forms, from distant horizons to forests and valleys, from streams to waterfalls and a dam, and even a medieval castle.......
Varied terrain. Comfortable paths alternate with the typically wet paths of the High Fens (soggy or muddy passages) and all kinds of trails, which can sometimes show quite steep heights and depths, sometimes hanging over streams, climbing up hillside slopes, or dominating ravines..... Several fairly long and sometimes strenuous climbs. Difficult to traverse in snow.
A true sturdy Ardennes walk.
