Climbing between Leuven and Waver

A quite challenging tour with a lot of climbing; from Leuven (Naamse Poort): over Kard. Mercierlaan to Oud-Heverlee - St. Joris-Weert - Huldenberg (possibly a detour over the infamous Smeysberg, with a gradient of up to 17%) - downhill to Terlanen - steep climb over the dreadful Moskesstraat - uphill to Ottenburg - beautiful descent to Florival - left along the railway - climb towards Bossut, but immediately descend to Pécrot - wall of Pécrot - Nethen (optional: steep climb over Tienne Vincent) - Bossut - nice descent to Archennes - Grez-Doiceau - onto the cobblestones to the beautiful village of Biez - Longueville - Chaumont-Gistoux - climb from Bonlez - nicely descend to Dion-Valmont - back towards Grez - steep and long ascent to the golf course of le Bercuit - from there to Archennes - once more uphill to Bossut - descend to Pécrot and continue to St. Agatha-Rode - Wolfshagen to Neerijse - final climb in Vranckxstraat near Langerode - descend over the Windbergen to Korbeek-Dijle - from there back over Oud-Heverlee, Heverlee and so back to Leuven.
