You start from the parking lot of Natuurpunt opposite the entrance of the beautiful medieval Cleydael castle. Unfortunately, the castle is not open for visits. So you follow the sandy path that runs away from the castle and the street. After about a hundred meters, the road turns right. After 400 meters, you emerge from the trees into a large open meadow. Follow the narrow asphalt path that turns left at a right angle.

After the meadow, you pass a few houses and take the first street on the right. You continue to follow this slightly winding asphalt path until, a kilometer later, you pass the small local brewery Ganzenhof. If the terrace is open, you definitely have to try a local beer. Just past the terrace, you come to a larger road.

Here you turn left. While the larger road quickly curves to the right, you take the smaller street straight ahead, the Hulstlei, until you reach a cross street.

There, you go straight ahead and walk between a hedge and a wire fence. The narrow path makes a right angle turn to the right and then to the left, leading you to an industrial area.

Follow this road straight ahead (Industrieweg) until you reach a crossroad. Turn right here (Vluchtenburgstraat).

At the Vluchtenburghoeve (with delicious ice cream!), you follow the little path to the left. After passing the farm, it first curves to the left and then immediately back to the right. You walk between a company and a meadow until you reach a street where you turn left (Helststraat).

At the traffic lights, you turn left along the bike path until you reach the parking lot where you started.
