Walk through the green valleys of Zwalmbeek, Molenbeek and Bettelhovebeek and over the ridges of the Flemish Ardennes. A flat walk as we stay in the valleys: a lot of water-related green vegetation and wide views.

We start the walk in Paddestraat, one of the most well-known and famous/infamous cobbled sections of the Tour of Flanders and other spring classics. There is parking available at the nearby Roman Square in the center of Velzeke. In Velzeke, many remnants can still be found from the rich history that dates back to prehistory, but especially from the Roman period. The Provincial Archaeological Museum (PAM) presents many of these historical finds in an engaging and educational way in a multimedia museum that is also very worthwhile for children.
