Join the Refugee Walk and show your support
Never before so many people around the world have been forced to flee their homes due to violence, war and persecution. Refugees often have to walk for weeks before reaching a safe haven.
Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen’s Refugee Walk challenges its participants to follow the footsteps of refugees. On Sunday 3 October, you can complete a sponsored walk of 40k, 20k or 10k. With the money raised, we help people on the run. But The Refugee is more than just a physical challenge or a fundraiser: we want to connect people, embattle stereotypes and build bridges.
The route? That’s up to you! This year you’ll have the opportunity to walk with us from the main starting point, map out your own route along our participating rest stations in your province or go completely solo along the paths and roads that you know best…
