Lake Louise Campground near Lake Louise is remarkable for its electrified fencing. The electricity on the fence is intended to keep bears at bay. The campsite is situated in a narrow zone between the mountain slope and a river, which lies within a larger habitat area for grizzly bears (and black bears are also present). The message is to keep food out of your tent!
The campground is managed by "Banff National Park" and is well-maintained. There is space for tents and camping trailers. Recommended for nature lovers.
