The Rigi mountain was repeatedly admired by Wagner and his friend Nietzsche. You can see the mountain from Wagner's house in Tribschen , on the edge of the lake. The mountain was also painted by the famous William Turner. William Turner painted the mountain in 1842, about half a century before Wagner and Nietsche gazed together at the mountain.
