This high Alpine trail starts from the ski station of Mittelallalin (3450m) to the summit of the Allalinhorn (4027m). It is an unmarked trail and is a prohibited area for unexperienced hikers unless you perform this hike with a mountain guide. Don't try this alone!

Along the trail you'll pass multiple crevasses, most of them are not dangerous, only once you'll have to jump over one. Conditions of the path can very from year to year and trails can get slightly different depending the state of the crevasses of the glacier. Crampons are necessary and can be rented in Saas-Fee and/or Saas-Grund along with a climbing harnas and hiking pole (only one needed).
From the summit of the Allalinhorn a truly amazing view awaits over the Saastal, Zermatt valley, Monte Rosa mountains, Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, Weisshorn, Zinalrothorn and so many other +4000m mountains. The closest 4000+ mountains are the Alphubel, Rimpfischhorn, Strahlhorn, Mischabel, ...
