This high route leads along the forest’s edge to Saas-Grund, passing old arolla pines and a rich alpine flora. There are splendid views of the Visper Valley along the way. It is also possible just to follow the first part of this high route. The circuit leads from Giw to Gspon and is well-served by public transport on both sides. Hiking time is approximately three hours. From Gspon it is possible to follow the high route in the Saas Valley to Kreuzboden/Saas Grund in four hours. This section of the itinerary lasts four hours. There are good public transport connections from Kreuzboden/Saas Grund.
