The health resort Höchenschwand is located in the southern Black Forest along the B 500, about 20 km north of the district town of Waldshut-Tiengen, on a gently south-sloping high plateau in the Southern Black Forest Nature Park. The place is known for the extensive alpine panorama, especially during föhn weather conditions.
