Burbach is a part of the German municipality of Saarbrücken in the state of Saarland. In 2013, Burbach had a population of 14,600. Burbach was an important location for the steel industry in Saarland. Due to company closures in the 1970s and 1980s, employment and the population of Burbach have decreased significantly.
