A forgery of Durer self-portrait can be seen in the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg.
The painting was lend in 1799 by the city of Nuremberg to a painter named Abraham Kuffner, to make a copy. Kuffner copied it but sent the copy back and kept the original, now in the Pinakothek of Munich.
