Laudenbach

Laudenbach is a municipality in the Rhein-Neckar district in the so-called Rhein-Neckar triangle in the northwest of Baden-Württemberg. Together with Hemsbach, Laudenbach forms the agreed administrative community of Hemsbach.

Laudenbach is located by the river of the same name on the northern Baden countryside, directly at the Hessian state border. The district of Laudenbach borders Hesse to the west, north, and east; to the east, the Bergstraße forms the boundary of the Rhine valley to the Odenwald. To the south is Hemsbach, to the west is Lorsch, to the north is Heppenheim, and to the east is Ober-Laudenbach, which belongs to Heppenheim, with which it has a very complicated border due to historical reasons, such that the roads running through Ober-Laudenbach belong to the district of Laudenbach. Larger cities are Mannheim about 25 km southwest, Heidelberg 25 km south, and Darmstadt about 30 km north. Laudenbach does not include any other localities.
