Posteholz is a manor and district of Aerzen. The small village of Posteholz lies above the manor.
The builder of the estate was the Lippe privy councillor Arnold Ludwig von Post, who was enfeoffed with it after the renunciation of Colonel Hermann Lothar von Post in 1661. As a result of overexploitation of wood, Hanover had issued an order in 1678 to dispense with wooden fences, so that an elaborate stone slab fence was erected. After the extinction of the family branch on Posteholz, the property changed hands several times. In 1776, Jobst Gabriel von Wülfingen had today's manor house built and the garden laid out.
