The Kemitzenstein, also known as Chamnitzen, is a 580.6 m above sea level elevation of the Franconian Jura with a collection of rock formations located in the municipality of Bad Staffelstein in the Lichtenfels district of Upper Franconia.
The Kemitzenstein is situated in the Franconian Switzerland-Veldenstein Forest Nature Park between the villages of Kümmersreuth, a southeastern district of Bad Staffelstein in the southwest, and Rothmannsthal in the east, a south-southeast district of Lichtenfels; however, only the lower sections of its eastern and northeastern slopes belong to Lichtenfels.
