Arendsee Abbey () is a former Benedictine monastery in Arendsee, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The monastery church is attributed to the brick Romanesque style. It is dedicated to Mary, John and Nicholas and is today the parish church of the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Arendsee. Together with the former monastery grounds, the church forms the northernmost point of the Romanesque Road.
The monastery was founded at Christmas 1183 by Margrave Otto I. It belonged to the diocese of Verden and was intended to consolidate the rule of the Ascanians. The monastery church was built from 1185 onwards by Jerichow master builders in the late Romanesque style of brick, around the same time as the Diesdorf monastery church. Elements of the Liebfrauenstift in Altenburg and the Lübeck Cathedral served as models. The church was consecrated in 1208, but was not completed until 1240. Around 1232, a monastery school for children of nobles was established. Some of the monastery buildings that still exist today were not built until the middle of the 13th century. The settlement of Arendsee was established around 1200 near the monastery.
