The Lämmerbuckeltunnel on the northwestern flank of the Swabian Jura is a 625 m long and 7.5 m wide tunnel on the ascent of the A8 autobahn near Wiesensteig in the Göppingen district of Baden-Württemberg. It is the second oldest highway tunnel in Germany still in operation, after the Nasenfelstunnel. A speed limit of 100 km/h applies in the tunnel.
The Lämmerbuckeltunnel, which is part of the two-lane carriageway of the A8 from Stuttgart to Ulm, runs at an average height of about 760 m above sea level through the 800.6 m high eastern flank of the Lämmerbuckel, which is mostly uncultivated and located between Wiesensteig in the north-northwest and Hohenstadt in the east-southeast.
