The house at Gottschedstraße 22 is a residential and commercial building located in Gottschedstraße, Inner Westvorstadt in Leipzig. It is listed as a single monument under monument protection.
The building was constructed in 1882 based on plans by the Leipzig architects Pfeifer & Händel. The builder was Carl Eduard Sperling. In 1887, the ground floor underwent its first conversion. In 1909, the house was owned by the merchant Edmund Wagner. He had the ground floor remodeled again according to the plans by architects Polster & Höhne and in 1910, two additional apartments and six rooms were created in the attic. During the GDR era, the house was managed and rented by the city. After 1990, it returned to the descendants of the owners from the pre-war period, who extensively renovated and modernized it from 1999 to 2001 under the planning and direction of architect Elmar Nolte. A restaurant and two shop units were created on the ground floor. Additionally, four maisonette apartments were built in the attic.
