The Oldenburg-Donnerschwee water tower is a building from 1896. It stands on Donnerschweer Straße and is considered the landmark of the Donnerschwee district. Together with the adjacent waterworks, it forms a uniform ensemble in the historicist architectural style.
The lower two floors of the circular brick building are provided with circumferential blind arcades that extend over both floors and each have two windows. Above this is a wide plastered strip that leads to the narrower shaft part of the tower. The three upper floors of the shaft are externally separated from each other by two narrow cleaning rings. Narrow arched windows illuminate the interior. The transition from the shaft to the projecting head of the structure is plastered. The sheathing of the water tank then again shows exposed masonry, which is divided by narrow windows and an arched wreath above it.
