The Hubertusburg Castle Chapel refers to the baroque, Catholic Rococo court chapel of the former Royal Saxon hunting and court residence Hubertusburg in Wermsdorf, Saxony.
The Catholic governor Anton Egon von Fürstenberg brought Catholicism to the Protestant Wermsdorf. The politically motivated conversion of Augustus the Strong to Catholicism due to the Polish crown legitimized the small Catholic court service in Wermsdorf. The Catholic community grew rapidly, with the first Catholic service taking place on May 9, 1710.
