The District Court of Herzberg am Harz is one of seven district courts in the district of Göttingen. It is based in Herzberg am Harz.
In 2004, the district court had a total of 36 employees, including four judges and six judicial officers. The judicial district of the district court of Herzberg am Harz includes the towns of Bad Lauterberg, Bad Sachsa and Herzberg am Harz, the municipality of Walkenried, the joint municipality of Hattorf am Harz and the unincorporated area of Harz in the district of Göttingen. The district court of Herzberg am Harz thus has about 36,000 court residents. The higher court is the Göttingen Regional Court.
