The Kiessee Klein Schneen is a quarry pond in the municipality of Friedland south of Göttingen. It was created from an open-cast gravel mine and, together with its shore zones, now serves as a bathing lake and local recreation area for the local population as well as for diving.
The lake is located on the southern outskirts of Klein Schneen. The water surface of the gravel lake is about 4.4 hectares in size and has not been cultivated in gravel mining for years. However, the mining rights still exist, so that renaturation or tourist use is not yet considered possible. The Göttingen–Friedland–Eichenberg railway line runs directly on the east side.
